Come in from the cold and stretch your creative muscles! Classes offer students the chance to explore a variety of media including sculpture, painting, drawing and more. Participants will be inspired by what they see in the gal­leries to make their very own art. Class is held in the Art Zone on the lower level of the Museum.

Stop-Motion Animation for Teens

Join teacher Kristan Brinley and video artist Professor Gail Hoffman to learn the basics of video art and animation in a fun and relaxed environment. Participants will learn basic camera and editing skills and create an original short film. Explore experimental film techniques and alternative media practices. All equipment provided. No experience necessary.

Looking for fun and creative activities during Mid-winter recess? Sign up for one day or the entire week. Each day will hold a different themed activity to engage young artists including art making, gallery exploration, storytelling, games and much, much more! Collage Art

Collage is creative, challenging and fun-- and it’s easy to get started. Learn collage basics and some experimental techniques. Be ready to try your hand with this exciting art form using a variety of media and materials including paper, found objects, natural materials and more!

Eco Friendly Wearables

Have fun and be creative in this informal one-day workshop. Transform everyday items such as recycled, vintage, and found objects into unique wearable art. Make pins using zippers and fabric, necklaces made from T-shirts, magazine beads in a variety of styles, and more. Taught by Whitney Daniels of WRKDesigns. No experience necessary. Materials provided, but feel free to bring some of your own special objects to upcycle!

Art Blast! Summer Art Camp (Ages 4-12)

 

Art Blast! Summer Art Camp is the perfect place for kids to stretch their creative muscles and experience new and exciting activities each week. Students work with a variety of materials to create projects inspired by the museum’s collections and current exhibitions and sketch in the galleries. Half day and full day sessions are available. Save even more by signing up for multiple sessions!
