e-tags (Everson Teen Art Gallery & Studio)
e-tags is the Everson’s satellite art studio located on the community floor of Syracuse
University’s Warehouse at 350 West Fayette Street. The studio provides a safe space for teens to
act as creators and shapers of contemporary culture through working directly with a wide range
of local, interdisciplinary artists on creative and meaningful art projects. The Everson also works
with a variety of other audiences, ages and organizations to bring authentic studio art experiences
to the broader Syracuse community. The spacious studio includes professional drawing stations,
a state-of-the-art media center and exhibition space. Check class listings for e-tags courses.
Art classes for all ages are offered throughout the entire year and include painting, sculpture,
video, bookmaking and more! Art classes are offered at both Everson Museum of Art and e-tags (Everson
Teen Art Gallery and Studio), located at 350 West Fayette Street.

Session I- Basic Digital Photography for Adults
$135 Members, $175 Non-members

Photographer/Educator Stephen Mahan has designed this class to introduce students to the digital era with informative and fun (emphasis on fun!) daily photo exercises. Whether you have years of film camera experience or are new to photography, the course will introduce you to the ideas and techniques that will help you make better pictures. The course will also provide an introduction to Adobe Photoshop and a few other software programs for manipulating, organizing, editing and printing your photographs. Each individual will also create a personal blog to share your summer fun with friends and family. Discover ART! Join us for Summer Art Camp, it's the perfect place for kids to stretch their creative muscles. What they see inside and outside the Museum will inspire them in creating their own works of art using a variety of materials. Tons of great features include small classes with lots of individual attention for each student, painting, sculpting, sketching, gallery walks, experienced and fun teachers, snacks served daily, student exhibition and reception.

Session IV- Digital Photography for Teens
$135 Members, $175 Non-members

Photographer/Educator Stephen Mahan will conduct a Digital Photography Workshop. Using digital cameras, students will learn the technical aspects of camera operation and the basic elements of composition including line, shape, color, and texture while working on a series of fun projects that will include: self-portrait, street photography, urban landscape, image, text and a photo narative titled, "This is My Family." Students will learn the basics of the imaging software Adobe Photoshop and create PowerPoint slide shows. This course is designed for both intermediate students and students new to photography and digital media. Limited enrollment, maximum 12 students.
