Visual Thinking Strategies
Look, Think, Share! uses Visual Thinking Strategies to encourage critical thinking and communication skills by asking open-ended questions about art – "What's going on in this picture?", "What do you see that makes you say that?", and "What more can you find?" This allows visitors to examine art, to think critically, and to share observations and ideas. VTS was developed by cognitive psychologist Abigail Housen and museum educator Philip Yenawine.
