Come in from the cold and enjoy family time during mid-winter break. Create a colorful yarn painting and dig in to clay to make a fantastic creature. Watch art come to life through a handbuilding demonstration by artist Cheryl Hutchinson.

Join in art making activities inspired by current exhibitions. Make a cut paper self-portrait. Dig into clay to pinch your own clay cup, then add texture and pattern using stamps and color using beads, seashells, and more.
Community Mural and Storytelling

Join artist Vanessa Johnson in helping to create a collaborative community mural. The colorful mural will be made up of 3 quilted panels that reflect themes found in current exhibitions and pay homage to the variety of ethnic and racial groups in the Syracuse Community.
West African Dance and Drum Performance
1:30pm, Hosmer Auditorium
A dynamic, energetic, and multifaceted performance that includes West African dancing, drumming, and songs presented by Wacheva Cultural Arts.
Ceramics Handbuilding Demonstration
12:30 – 1:30pm, Education Center
