Celebrate Handmade: The Art of Susan Roth, 1974-2014. Enjoy meeting the artist, live music, hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar before previewing the exhibition.

Sixty Artists in Sixty Minutes

June 19, 2015 -

Time: 5.30pm to 7.00pm

$40 per person advance sale, $60 at the door

Afterglow, 7.30 – 8.30pm (reservations required), $120 per person

Guests at 60/60 will enjoy an energetic summer party all about the creation and appreciation of art.They will be invited to mingle and observe as 60 area artists create or finish original works of art in 60 minutes while enjoying refreshments and live music. A highlight of the evening will be a drawing to win one of the amazing artworks being created live at the event. The artworks are generously donated by participating artists. New this year will be Afterglow, an event in which guests can mingle with the artists after the drawing has concluded, and enjoy sparkling wine and dessert. Afterglow tickets include admission to 60/60 and may be purchased at www.everson.org, advance tickets required. 


Sci-fi Night: The Time Machine, 1960, 103 min.

Pre-show activities begin at 7.00pm, screening at 8.30pm

The Time Machine, originally a book by H. G. Wells, was the first to popularize the concept of time travel, laying the ground work for a host of sci-fi artistic pursuits, including many of the first comic books. Join us before the film on the Everson Community Plaza to meet local comic book vendors and even make your own short Sci-Fi comic! Stop inside to view the exhibition Hillerbrand+Magsamen: Higher Ground and get pumped for our Stomp Rocket contest!

Bring your blankets, lawn chairs and snacks and settle in on the Everson Community Plaza to enjoy the film projected onto the façade of the Museum building. 


Craft & Craft

“Pre-game” at the Everson! Join us for this event before the start of the AmeriCU Syracuse Arts & Crafts Festival.                                  

Handmade crafts and craft beers come together for this Syracuse Artsweek event. Join us outside on the Everson Podium and in the Rosamond Gifford Sculpture Court to enjoybeers from local breweries and to peruse the wares of an eclectic group of 20+ crafters, artisans, and unique vintage vendors. Throughout the night, guests can enjoy live music and view Everson exhibitions including Handmade: The Art of Susan Roth

$10 cover charge for members / $15 cover charge for non-members, includes exhibition admission and access to vendors. Cash bars will have beer and wine, as well as non-alcoholic beverages for sale. Rain or shine; vendors to be moved indoors in the event of inclement weather.


LEGO Happy Hour Workshop

July 30, 2015 -

Time: 6.00pm to 8.00pm

Participants will create a mini stop-motion animation short film. The event includes instruction by Syracuse University Professor Gail Hoffman, all materials, light refreshments and a cash bar. Open to adults ages 21 and older.
