Brooklyn Trip/ April 30 - May 2

Let’s welcome spring at Brooklyn’s Botanical Gardens! During this three day trip, we will experience the beauty of the cherry blossoms at the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens and tours of the areas finest museums. Highlights will include “American Chronicles: Norman Rockwell” and “City of Silver and Gold” at the Newark Museum, the Egyptian collection at the Brooklyn Museum, the Monuments Men collection at the Metropilitian Museum of Art, and “Radiant Light” at the Cloisters. Our trip includes two nights at the 4-star New York Marriott at Brooklyn  Bridge Hotel, three lunches, all tours and entrance fees plus a special dinner on our first night.

Theater Trip/ June 24 - 26

The Everson Trip Committee’s 2014 theater trip will be June 24 to June 26 and offers a variety of plays and musicals certain to delight theater goers. A current passport or enhanced drivers license is required for travel to Canada. We will check that all travelers have one of these documents with them before departure. Please reserve your place on this trip using the form above.

Don’t miss the August 4 trip to the Glimmerglass Opera. Our excursion includes a guided tour at the Fenimore Art Museum of Winslow Homer’s Nature & Rhythm of Life and Madame Butterfly by Curator, Paul D’Ambrosio. Afterwards, enjoy lunch at the historical Otasaga hotel followed by the matinee performance of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Carousel.

Chautauqua Institute / July 27 - August 1

The trip to the Chautauqua Institute is an annual favorite, and the theme, "Brazil: Rising Superpower" is sure to be engaging. The host of the 2014 World Cup and 2016 Summer Olympics, the Federative Republic of Brazil is South America's largest country, and the fifth largest in the world. Lecturers this week chart its history, politics, culture and growing influence in global affairs. 

A highlight of the trip will be accommodations at the lovely Athenaeum Hotel located on the grounds at the Chautauqua Institute. Entertainment for the week includes the Chautauqua Symphony Orchestra and the North Carolina Dance Theater.
