The Everson Medal

The Everson Summer Picnic honors those who have been pillars of the community and have shaped Central New York through their gifts of leadership and strong conviction that art and creative expression enhance our quality of life.

County Executive Mahoney has placed a tremendous emphasis on literacy and education, and understands how the arts are an essential component of a vibrant Onondaga County. She champions organizations like the Everson Museum that make our community rich and dynamic.

“A strong, thriving arts community is important to the quality of life in Onondaga County and it’s something major employers say helps them recruit here in Central New York.  Thank you to the Everson and all of our arts organizations for making Central New York a great place to work and play.” – Joanie Mahoney, Onondaga County Executive
