Now more than ever, music helps us to express ourselves, to heal, and to feel connected. The Everson Museum of Art’s Midday Mixtape gives a wide variety of guest disc jockeys the opportunity to fill our Community Plaza with music. Interspersed with commentary, each Midday Mixtape provides thought-provoking reflections on music and our daily lives.
Join us every weekday on the Everson’s Community Plaza from noon to 1pm, or take Midday Mixtape to go as a podcast or playlist.

Midday Mix Tape Episode 03: Artist Lacey McKinney
DJ Hellerman, the Everson’s Curator of Art & Programs, talks with painter and Liverpool resident Lacey McKinney about the music she listens to in her studio. Be sure to visit Lacey’s exhibition, Reconfiguration, on view at the museum until January 24, 2021.

The inaugural episode of Midday Mixtape features the Everson’s incredible crew of Gallery Attendants: Maki, Andrea, Emma, Walter, Al, and LES. From gospel music to reggae and a song about the infamous painter Vincent van Gogh, their playlist touches on every facet of life.
